Don't forget; students can earn Community Service hours being an elementary aide at the After-School Tutoring projects at the elementary schools.

South Elementary - Mondays and Wednesdays - 3:15 to 4:45 in the cafeteria.
Central Elementary - Tuesdays - 3:15 to 4:45 in the cafeteria.

Be sure to sign in with the tutoring staff, the list will be sent monthly to Mrs. Burns at CHS.  If school is cancelled, so is tutoring!

You can help with Math and Reading games, check homework, or read with a child!  You'll get a service hour, and the kids will think you are cool!

Work with residents in doing crafts; reading or writing for residents who are basically room confined; help with planned activities on Monday and/or Wednesday evenings; fill bird feeders outside patients rooms or do yard work to make their views of the outdoors more pleasing; help with Saturday morning bingo; sing carols at Christmas and use your imagination for creating a little happiness for shut-ins.  Not only will you make someone else happy, but you will feel good about doing it.  This is what Community Service is all about!!!
